Jones Bros finishes work on popular path in Denbigh19th Apr 2017
Jones Bros Civil Engineering has completed work on a combined foot- and cycle path leading into Denbigh.
The existing 300m path, which runs between Henllan and Denbigh, has been widened to improve access and usability for walkers and cyclists.
It begins at the top end of Denbigh golf course and runs down into Denbigh. Approximately 60 per cent of the footpath is on the existing route, with the remainder being a new path.
The work was carried out on behalf of client Denbighshire County Council.
Regional manager for north Wales and the north west Hefin Lloyd-Davies said: “The project ran well and we finished it ahead of schedule.
“We used our in-house surfacing team and Forest Traffic management, with three or four people on site at any one time.
“The widening of the path improves safety for pedestrians and cyclists using the route into Denbigh.
“It’s a common route and the feedback we have had from members of the public is that they are pleased the work was carried out.”
Jones Bros has an in-house surfacing division with considerable experience in planning and carrying out surfacing works.
Founded in the 1950s and employing almost 350 people, Jones Bros has grown rapidly in the last decade. It is currently working on contracts in various sectors including the construction of waste management facilities, highways, flood and marine defence and renewable energy projects around the UK.
