Jones Bros sponsors supports client who gets on bike for charity23rd May 2016
Jones Bros has sponsored a client who embarked on a gruelling 140-mile bike ride effort to raise funds to help people with life threatening illnesses.
Mike Webster, group director of waste solutions at Hills Group, cycled from Kent to Ghent in Belgium with two colleagues to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice in West Yorkshire.
The hospice, based in Kirklees, cared for Mike’s sister-in-law Judith during the final days of her life and he later pledged to raise funds to help it to continue its good work.
John Dielhof, Jones Bros’ managing director, who donated £500 on behalf of the company, said: “The Hills Group is our longest-standing client and when we heard about Mike’s fund-raising efforts we were keen to help.”
