JONES Bros will be exhibiting at an upcoming supplier event hosted by nuclear plant operator Magnox Ltd.
The session, hosted in association with the Welsh Assembly Government, takes place at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, on Tuesday, May 17.
It is the fifth in a series of supplier events hosted by Magnox since May 2009, and will explore how the company can work in partnership with its suppliers to deliver benefits to the North Wales economy.
Jones Bros was invited to exhibit after carrying out landscaping and access work at the site of the existing Wylfa nuclear power station on Anglesey.
The £400,000 contract with Magnox Ltd involved block paving work and the re-alignment of the road leading up to the site, including the creation of a new roundabout.
It was the first significant contract Jones Bros had won in the nuclear sector, though the firm has considerable experience working in other parts of the energy industry.
Wylfa was announced last year as one of the government’s preferred locations for a new generation of nuclear power stations.
If given the go-ahead, a plant would be built close to the existing Wylfa station, due to be decommissioned in 2012.
