It’s not just the quality of our work we take pride in, we are also committed to respecting the people, communities and environments in which we operate.
Engaging with residents close to our work sites is a central consideration on all Jones Bros projects. We have been awarded commendations for our efforts to integrate with the communities around where we work.
For example, we received numerous awards for our engagement with the community on both the Tywyn coastal defence scheme and the Porthmadog bypass in North Wales, having built strong links with the people and businesses affected most by both projects.
We meticulously ensure all Jones Bros sites are restored to their original condition once work is completed, and regularly consult with the local community to find out ways to help them while we’re at work. In recognition of this, we are frequent recipients of Considerate Constructors awards.
As well as engaging with local communities, we also have a strong track record in building bridges to education and training and are very proud of our record in giving young people a chance to follow a successful career in civil engineering.
We run on-going training and apprenticeship programmes, with many trainees progressing to full-time careers with Jones Bros, not just in North Wales, where we are based but in areas we work in across the UK.
The safety of our staff is another area that Jones Bros refuses to compromise on, illustrated by our multiple award wins from organisations including RoSPA and the Building Safety Group.
We are also keen to support charitable causes and have contributed to many over the years includingSt Kentigern Hospice, The Wales Air Ambulance and a number of youth and community organisations at our projects across Britain. Most recently we have supported football clubs in North Wales, purchasing kits and contributing to a fund-raising drive to develop a 3G, all weather sports pitch which is now ready in use.
