Jones Bros was appointed as the principal contractor for the scheme in East Ayrshire, Scotland, which will have the capacity to power more than 160,000 households.
Works included:
- Constructing 49 reinforced concrete foundations, excavating, and backfilling for cabling
- Creating 24km of access tracks and upgrading a further 20km to allow for turbine and transformer delivery
- Enabling works which included construction of the SP Energy Networks (SPEN) substation platform and construction compound
- Installing more than 300,000m of 33kv cable and more than 100,000 of fibre cable
