The search is on for the next generation of engineers and plant operatives at leading Welsh civil engineering contractor, Jones Bros.
The Ruthin-based company is seeking applications for six plant operative apprenticeships as well as trainee engineer and graduate engineer positions.
Jones Bros is looking for enthusiastic and ambitious applicants to learn new skills, earn a competitive wage and work on some of the country’s leading civil engineering construction projects.
Managing director Huw Jones, said: “As a family firm that understands the benefits of passing on skills and knowledge from one generation to the next, we are also passionate about providing skills to future generations of our workforce.
“It’s always been company policy to invest in apprenticeships, during good times and recessions. Young people receive training and qualifications and in return the company gets a lot of loyalty and commitment.
“Many of our employees started as apprentices and have been with the company for a considerable number of years, frequently working alongside their own family members.”
Plant operative apprentices will spend ten weeks at the company’s dedicated training centre in Ruthin, before applying their new skills at one of the company’s construction sites located across the UK.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over, possess a full, clean driving licence, and be available to take part in an interview process before the application closing date of March 14.
Jones Bros is also offering trainee engineers and engineering graduates an opportunity to being their careers within civil engineering.
The company are looking for passionate and ambitious candidates to take part in its training programme, which includes all of the necessary support to continue your development within civil engineering.
Trainee engineering applicants must either be studying for a HNC or BTEC in a civil engineering related discipline, while graduate trainee engineers require a degree in a relevant engineering or science related discipline.
The closing date for all applications is March 17, with assessment days due to be held before the end of the month.
