Jones Bros sponsors prestigious sports awards23rd Nov 2015
Jones Bros will recognise and honour the region’s most talented sports people when it sponsors the Conwy Sports Awards later this month.
The awards, being held at Venue Cymru on Friday, 27th November, will celebrate achievements such as junior sports woman, senior sports team, coach of the year, young volunteer and school of the year.
Jones Bros is sponsoring the junior sports team category with the finalists being Conwy Sea Rowers, Colwyn Bay Junior Hockey Section and Clwb Rygbi Nant Conwy Youths under 19.
Helen Morgan, company secretary at Jones Bros, whose family set up the company in the 1950s, will present the award. She said: “It’s a real privilege and an honour to be involved in these awards that publicly acknowledge the incredible achievements of sports people in Conwy.
“At Jones Bros we are passionate about helping young people to achieve their full potential through our successful apprenticeship scheme. Being involved in the Conwy Sports Awards is a natural extension of that.”
Prolific Welsh sportswoman Non Evans is the guest speaker at the event. Fitness enthusiast Non has excelled in five sports – rugby union, judo, Olympic freestyle wrestling, weightlifting and powerlifting.
