National Apprenticeship Week, which this year runs from 9 to 13 March, celebrates the positive impact apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses, the economy and the community.
At Jones Bros we regularly take on new apprentices: we have recruited dozens of young people over several decades – employing 35 apprentices since 2010. Some of our apprentices have gone on to fantastic success, including Geraint Thomas who is now the regional manager for Southern England. We are currently recruiting for six apprentices to start in May.

A family-run company with a long history of providing career opportunities to young people is urging other companies to recruit apprentices ahead of National Apprenticeship Week 2015.
Jones Bros is currently recruiting for six apprentice plant operators. Successful candidates will spend the first weeks in the training centre in Ruthin, before being sent to one of our construction sites around the UK to continue their training.
Senior civil engineer Geraint Thomas, who began his career as an apprentice with family firm Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, has been promoted to regional manager for southern England.
With two training and apprenticeship award wins in 2014, Jones Bros started 2015 being nominated for another top industry prize.
