Jones Bros secures place on billion-pound North West Contractor Framework1st Apr 2026

Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK’s expertise and high-quality delivery has secured a spot on the £1.2 billion North West Contractor Framework.

The firm has been appointed by Procure Partnerships Framework, on behalf of Wirral Council, to support public sector construction and infrastructure projects across the region during the next four years.

Running from 1 April 2026, Jones Bros have been selected alongside five other companies on lot 12, which covers infrastructure works worth more than £30m and has a total pot of £144m.

The same six businesses are joined by four more on lot 11, which will see the 10 firms compete for £120m of infrastructure jobs worth between £15-30m.

Jones Bros Contracts Director Hefin Lloyd-Davies said: “We are proud to announce our appointment on the North West Procure Partnerships Framework.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to work with new clients and further strengthen our relationships with existing ones, all whilst carrying out important activity in the North West.”

Recent projects in the North West undertaken by Jones Bros include the expansion of Stena Line’s operations on the Wirral, the A49 link road in Wigan, and Cheshire Green Employment Park in Nantwich.

Established in the 1950s, Jones Bros owns one of the largest plant fleets in the UK and employs approximately 500 people.

The company is currently working on contracts in various sectors including highways, flood and marine defence, reservoirs, waste management and renewable energy around the UK.

The company runs an award-winning apprenticeship scheme, which has produced nearly 40 per cent of its current workforce, with many of its senior managers having started out as apprentices or in a trainee role. It has recruited hundreds of apprentices over the years.
